Indra Regent Hotel, Colombo

During my business trip to Sri Lanka, I found this hotel to be quite disappointing. The exterior was dirty and the building felt aged. Although the staff was caring and attentive, the uncomfortable bed, noisy AC, and inadequate breakfast options left much to be desired. For the price, there are definitely better hotels in the area.

My experience at the hotel was quite mixed. The location is superb, allowing easy access to shopping and other attractions. However, the rooms were basic and had a noticeable cigarette smell, which was disappointing. The staff was friendly, especially the front office manager and the spa staff, but overall, the service felt uncoordinated. There are some pricing issues too, as certain amenities seemed overpriced. It works if you're just looking for a place to sleep without any frills.

I had mixed feelings about my stay. The room was clean and had working air conditioning, which was a plus, but the noise from the hallways and nearby club really impacted my experience. The staff seemed oblivious to the disturbances, which was frustrating. Overall, it’s a decent place if you're looking for something basic, but be ready for a noisy night if you're not into nightlife.
